On July15-16, 2021, S.Savelyev, a senior expert of the Foreign Policy Research Institute under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took part in the“Strengthening Multilateral Nuclear Disarmament Verification Capacities” workshop organized by the International Science and Technology Center in cooperation with the British Verification Research, Training and Information Center (VERTIC).

During discussions S.Savelyev focused his attention on issues of verification and nuclear arms control, the decommissioning of the BN-350 reactor, as well as on problems of storage of spent nuclear fuel and nuclear waste.
