On September 13, 2021, the Chairman of the Board of the FPRI Bolat Nurgaliyev met with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Nur-Sultan Sajjad Ahmed Sikhar.

The interlocutors exchanged assessments of the prospects for development of situation in Central and South Asia in the light of the coming to power in Kabul of the Taliban movement (banned in Kazakhstan and other countries as a terrorist organization), and also discussed topical issues of interaction between the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on the eve of the forthcoming jubilee SCO summit in Dushanbe.

The participation of the Foreign Policy Research Institute in the events held by the Embassy of Pakistan on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and the IRP was agreed upon.
