Participated in an online «round table» discussion on the topic "Interfaith dialogue for Peace and Harmony"

On September 17, 2021, Madina Jarbussynova, Head of the FPRI department of international organizations and integration associations, participated in an online «round table» discussion on the topic "Interfaith dialogue for Peace and Harmony" to Geneva in cooperation with the N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue.

The event was also attended by representatives of the Vatican Mission to Geneva, the World Federation of Lutheran Churches, the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the UNESCO office in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan and the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.

In her statement M. Jarbussynova emphasized the importance of inter-confessional and inter-ethnic dialogue based on mutual respect, recognition of diversity and tolerance for maintenance of peace and stability in the country. It was noted that Kazakhstan not only successfully pursues this in its domestic policy, but also on the initiative of the First President – Leader of the Nation N. Nazarbayev has convened 6 Congresses of leaders of world and traditional religions which proved to become a platform for global dialogue in the interests of universal security.
