On September 20-21, 2022, Islamabad hosted the international conference «Afghanistan: Regional Collective Dialogue», organized by the Pakistani analytical center «Tabadlab» in cooperation with the Royal Danish Defense College. The event was attended by experts from Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Australia, China, Denmark, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, as well as representatives of the Afghan government in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The problems of restoring peace and stability in Afghanistan were discussed with a view to finding ways to integrate it into the system of regional and world relations.
The conference was attended by the head of the FPRI Analysis and Forecasting Group, Amir Bashbayev, who spoke at the panel session on the topic «Refugees, cross-border communities and security» with a report on the security situation in the Central Asian region in the context of the challenges and threats posed by the continued instability in Afghanistan.
