On April 5, 2023, a meeting with senior staff of the Kazakhstan Agency for International Development «KazAID» was held at the Foreign Policy Research Institute. The issues of the role of official development assistance and specifically KazAID in ensuring the sustainable development of the Central Asian region were discussed.

Chairman of the Board of KazAID A. Arystanov made a presentation on the activities of the agency headed by him, spoke about sectoral and geographical priorities of Kazakhstan in promoting solution of socio-economic problems of recipient countries. Experts of the Foreign Policy Research Institute K. Nurtazin and M. Zhakenov presented recommendations on main areas of cooperation in the Central Asian region, in particular, with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Central Asia Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan E. Kubashev and senior expert of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies B. Auken. The work on providing advisory and expert assistance in the promotion of Kazakhstan's ODA programs and projects will be continued.
