On June 6, 2023, Chairman of the FPRI Board Bolat Nurgaliyev and Head of the Analysis and Forecasting Group Amir Bashbayev held a working meeting with the Ambassador of China to Kazakhstan Zhang Xiao.

The interlocutors exchanged assessments of results of the China - Central Asia summit held on May 18-19 in Xi'an at the level of heads of state, official visit of President K.Tokayev to China, discussed topical issues of the Kazakh-Chinese relations, regional and international situation. The importance of continuing exchange of views during regular meetings to discuss issues of mutual interest was noted.
