On June 23, 2023, the Chairman of the Board Bolat Nurgaliyev held a meeting with new Head of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation Representative Office in Аlmaty  Alexander Wolters, who arrived in Astana to participate in «Ensuring Public Safety in partnership with Society: problems and solutions» Forum.

B.Nurgaliyev briefed about main directions of the Institute’s activities, shared his assessments of priorities of Kazakhstan's foreign policy in the context of worsening international situation. In his turn, the German representative made a report on the work of the Foundation in Kazakhstan, and described current international problems and state of bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Germany in the light of the recent state visit to Kazakhstan by Federal President F.-W.Steinmeier.

The possibilities of interaction between The Kazakh and German structures for implementation of specific projects were discussed, in particular, within the framework of  «Young Leadership Program» program to explain Astana's initiatives in the field of nuclear disarmament to Kazakh youth.
