Participation in the Balkans & Black Sea Forum

On February 15, 2024, Chairman of the FPRI Board Bolat Nurgaliyev took part in The Balkans & Black Sea Forum held in Athens, an international economic platform for discussing problems of transport, transit, logistics and trade in the region. The annual event was held under the auspices of the Greek “Geo Routes Institute” with support of administration of the largest Mediterranean port of Piraeus.

Bolat Nurgaliyev spoke at the plenary session on the topic: "The importance of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor in ensuring the interconnectivity of China and the European Union through the territory of Kazakhstan and other republics of Central Asia and South Caucasus".

During his stay in Greece on February 16 Bolat Nurgaliyev and Director of the Institute of International Economic Relations (IIER) of Greece H.Tsardanidis signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The partners agreed on constructive cooperation for benefit of promoting diverse Kazakh-Greek relations.

Bolat Nurgaliyev delivered a lecture in the IIER auditorium on the topic:  “Central Asia and European Union in Context of New Geopolitical Realities”.
