Participation in the International Conference «Modern Processes in Afghanistan: Consequences for Central Asia»

Chairman of the FPRI board Bolat Nurgaliyev took part in the International Conference «Modern Processes in Afghanistan: Consequences for Central Asia» held by the Institute for Advanced International Studies under the University of World Economy and Diplomacy during his stay in the capital of Uzbekistan on February 20-21, 2024.

Among the participants of the Conference were leading experts on Central Asian and Afghan issues from Azerbaijan, Great Britain, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

Bolat Nurgaliyev spoke at the first session «Afghanistan's Role in Eurasian Connectivity. Contemporary Developments in Afghanistan: Implications on Central Asia».

On February 21, Chairman of the Board visited Information and Analytical Center for International Relations (IACIR) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. With  Director of the Center, Sanzhar Valiev, and other senior staff of the IACIR, issues of practical interaction of the FPRI with the Uzbek colleagues on a wide range of issues of mutual interest were discussed.
