On April 22-25, 2024, during a business trip to Azerbaijan, Chairman of the FPRI Board Bolat Nurgaliyev took part in the annual political forum organized by ADA University. The theme of the Forum: «Green Vision for Azerbaijan and beyond» was timed to coincide with upcoming UN World Conference on Global Climate Change in Baku in November this year.
Оn April 23, along with 64 participants of the Forum from 30 countries, Bolat Nurgaliyev attended a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. The head of the Azerbaijani state gave detailed assessments of current state of international relations and foreign policy positioning of Azerbaijan. In particular, the issues of interconnectivity of South Caucasus with Central Asia were touched upon. Interaction of Baku and Astana on topical issues of regional and international security, as well as the promotion of integration projects, including the «Middle Corridor», was positively characterized.
On April 24, a trip to the Karabakh region took place, during which international experts got acquainted with the process of socio-economic rehabilitation of liberated territories of Lachin, Fizuli, Zangelen and Shushi.
During his stay in Baku and other settlements of Azerbaijan, Bolat Nurgaliyev gave several interviews to local mass media on the topics of the international Forum and the Kazakh-Azerbaijani relations.
