On December 9, 2025, at the initiative of the Chinese side, a meeting was held between Chairman of the FPRI Board Bolat Nurgaliyev and Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Kazakhstan Han Chunlin.
During the meeting, the parties held a substantive exchange of views on issues related to further strengthening Kazakhstan–China relations, as well as on the current international and regional agenda, including prospects for cooperation within the frameworks of the SCO, CICA and the «Central Asia – China» format.
In particular, B.Nurgaliyev shared his assessments of the international situation, outlined the key achievements of Kazakhstan’s diplomacy in 2025 and highlighted the priority areas of the Institute’s activities for the coming year.
For his part, Ambassador Han Chunlin provided an overview of China’s socio-economic development and the priorities of its foreign and domestic policies, emphasizing the special importance that Beijing attaches to the development of equal and mutually beneficial cooperation with Kazakhstan and other Central Asian republics.
