On June 2, 2026 «Kazakhstanskaya Pravda» newspaper published an analytical article by Deputy Chairman of the FPRI Board Manarbek Kabaziyev, entitled «Strategic Trust and Pragmatic Partnership».
The publication is dedicated to results of the state visit of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to the Republic of Kazakhstan on May 27-29, 2026.
The article notes that the visit confirmed the high level of strategic trust and allied cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia. Particular attention was paid to adoption of a Joint Statement on the Seven Foundations of Friendship and Good-Neighborliness between the peoples of Kazakhstan and Russia, which defines long-term guidelines for development of bilateral relations.
The author emphasizes that contemporary agenda of the Kazakh-Russian cooperation is becoming more comprehensive and covers industrial cooperation, transport and logistics interconnectedness, digitalization, energy, education, and scientific and technological development.
According to M.Kabaziyev, strengthening strategic partnership with Russia aligns with the national interests of Kazakhstan, contributes to increasing the country's economic stability, developing transit potential and expanding opportunities for cooperation across Greater Eurasia.
