On 1 October 2026, the scientific journal Kazakhstan-Spectrum, Issue 3 (114), published an article entitled «The Middle Corridor in the Eurasian Logistics System: Institutional Transformations and Kazakhstan’s Role in the Context of the Belt and Road Initiative». One of the co-authors of the article is Deputy Chairman of the FPRI Board Manarbek Kabaziyev.
The article examines the key factors shaping the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and its transformation into a sustainable component of Eurasian transport and logistics connectivity. Particular attention is paid to Kazakhstan’s role as one of the corridor’s key infrastructure and institutional hubs, the modernization of transport infrastructure and the strengthening of cooperation among the states participating in the route.
The authors emphasize that improving the efficiency and predictability of transportation requires a comprehensive approach that combines infrastructure development with the harmonization of tariff policies, the digitalization of document flows and the standardization of transport procedures. The findings of the research contribute to the expert discussion on Kazakhstan’s transit potential and the further strengthening of Eurasian connectivity.
