Foreign Policy Research Institute under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Shanghai Institutes of International Studies signed a memorandum of understanding

Shanghai, August 26, 2021 – As part of further development of scientific cooperation between Kazakhstan and China, Chairman of the Board of the Foreign Policy Research Institute under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (FPRI under the MFA RK) Bolat Nurgaliyev and President of the Shanghai Institutes of International Studies (SIIS) Chen Dongxiao signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the FPRI and SIIS during an online meeting. 

The event was attended by officials of the FPRI, SIIS and the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Shanghai.

During the online meeting, the heads of the above-mentioned "think tanks" held an in-depth exchange of views on a wide range of issues related to the further development of bilateral cooperation. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain partnership relations, and also planned to hold joint online events in the near future on the expansion of Kazakh-Chinese cooperation in various fields.
