On March 15, 2022, a “round table” was held at the Central Communications Service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the participation of Kazakhstani experts on military-political and legal issues, dedicated to discussing the tragic events of January 2022 in the light of the reports of the Prosecutor General of the RK, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the RK, the Chairman of the Agency on Combating Corruption of the RK and other officials at a plenary session of the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan on the 14th of March

Chairman of the Board of Foreign Policy Research Institute Bolat Nurgaliyev presented his own assessment of the circumstances of the January events, indicating the evidence of a complex and ramified preparation for a coup-de-etat attempt. The role of the Head of State was especially emphasized in adopting timely and decisive measures to take the situation under control in the acutest phase of the most dangerous crisis in the entire 30-year history of independent Kazakhstan.
