Chairman of the Board of Foreign Policy Research Institute Bolat Nurgaliyev presented his own assessment of the circumstances of the January events, indicating the evidence of a complex and ramified preparation for a coup-de-etat attempt. The role of the Head of State was especially emphasized in adopting timely and decisive measures to take the situation under control in the acutest phase of the most dangerous crisis in the entire 30-year history of independent Kazakhstan.
