On July 2, 2026 the republican socio-political newspaper «Kazakhstanskaya Pravda» published an author's article by Deputy Chairman of the FPRI Board Manarbek Kabaziyev «From Recognition Diplomacy to Influence Diplomacy», dedicated to the Diplomatic Service Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The article examines the evolution of Kazakh diplomacy over 35 years of Independence – from solving the problems of international recognition of young state to formation of a favorable external environment for realization of national interests. Special attention is paid to the role of a multi-vector foreign policy, development of economic diplomacy, strengthening of Kazakhstan's international authority and the country's emergence as a responsible middle power.
The author emphasizes that in modern conditions, diplomacy is becoming an important tool for ensuring sustainable development, expanding international cooperation, and promoting national interests of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
