On June 19, 2022, in Tehran, during the official visit of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Islamic Republic of Iran, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Foreign Policy Research Institute under the MFA RK and the Institute for Political and International Studies of the MFA IRI.

From the Kazakh side, the Memorandumwas signed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the RK - Minister of Foreign Affairs Mukhtar Tleuberdi.From the Iranian side, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein AmirAbdollahian signed.

This Memorandum is aimed at further cooperation, mutual exchange of information, development of projects and research programs, including joint events.
