On June 6, 2023, Chairman of the Board Bolat Nurgaliyev held a meeting with Senior Researcher and Director of the Foreign Policy, National Defense and National Security Program of the Canadian MacDonald-Laurier Institute Jonathan Miller and Professor 0f Mc Gill University, Leading Researcher of the Asia-Pacific Foundation of Canada Bart Edes, who arrived in Astana to participate in the Astana International Forum. 

Canadian experts shared information about their activities, as well as assessments of current international problems.  In his turn, B.Nurgaliyev briefed the interlocutors about main functions of the Institute and priorities of Kazakhstan's foreign policy in the context of sharp deteriation of international situation. It was agreed to establish mutually beneficial cooperation between the Kazakh and Canadian research structures.
