On August 27, 2026 Deputy Chairman of the FPRI Board Manarbek Kabaziyev gave an interview to the International News Agency «Kazinform» on the meeting of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev with a delegation of the U.S. House of Representatives headed by Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee Jason Smith
According to the expert, the meeting reflects the steady advancement rise of the Kazakh-American relations to a qualitatively new level. Along with political dialogue, economic, investment, technological and parliamentary areas of cooperation are of particular importance. Promising areas of cooperation are critically important minerals, energy, transport and logistics, digital technologies and artificial intelligence, industrial cooperation, science, and education.
M.Kabaziyev also noted importance of the upcoming visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Miami to participate in the G20 Summit, which could provide additional impetus to bilateral dialogue. In his opinion, the next key task is to translate t high level of political trust into specific investment, technological and infrastructure projects while maintaining the multi-vector and balanced nature of Kazakhstan's foreign policy.
