DEPUTY CHAIRMAN OF THE FPRI BOARD MANARBEK KABAZIYEV HELD A MEETING WITH ITALIAN POLITICAL SCIENTIST MARA MORINI

On September 7, 2026 Deputy Chairman of the FPRI Board Manarbek Kabaziyev held a meeting with Italian political scientist, foreign policy researcher, and Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Genoa Mara Morini. The meeting was also attended by Head of the Public Foundation «Regional Integration Research Institute» Taisiya Marmontova.
During the meeting, the parties held a substantive exchange of views on topical issues of political and geopolitical development in Eurasia. Special attention was paid to Kazakhstan's political transformation, development of state institutions and the party system, and prospects for Central Asia amidst the formation of a new international order. Separate discussions focused on Kazakhstan's role as an independent subject of regional policy and significance of a multi-vector foreign policy in the context of a changing international relations system and intensifying competition among leading power centers.
The parties also exchanged views on prospects for developing relations between Kazakhstan, the European Union, and Italy, expanding expert and academic interaction, and strengthening cooperation between research centers in Kazakhstan and European countries. The meeting reaffirmed the mutual interest in further professional dialogue on issues of international security, regional dynamics, political processes in Central Asia, and the transformation of modern system of international relations.
