On September 24, 2026, the FPRI senior expert Sergey Savelyev took part in the India–Kazakhstan Strategic Dialogue 2026 conference, jointly organized by the Embassy of India in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The conference was attended by Ambassador of India to Kazakhstan Sailas Thangale, Vice-Rector of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University Lazzat Tolegenkyzy, Deputy Director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies Dauren Aben, as well as leading political scientists and experts from Kazakhstan and India.
Speaking at the inaugural session, Sergey Savelyev emphasized the importance of further strengthening strategic and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and India. He highlighted transport and logistics, trade and economic cooperation, energy and investment as priority areas for the development of the bilateral partnership.
