On October 6, 2026, Senior Expert of the Foreign Policy Research Institute Sergey Savelyev took part in the online conference «Smart Technologies. How Artificial Intelligence Is Changing Everyday Life», organized by the Association of Users of the Scientific and Educational Computer Network of Kazakhstan (KazRENA) and the Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan.
The conference was attended by KazRENA Director General B. Zhaparov, as well as representatives of Kazakhstan’s academic and expert communities.
A wide range of issues related to artificial intelligence was discussed, including the risks associated with the use of AI in the development and application of weapons of mass destruction.
