On October 16, 2026, the newspaper «Egemen Qazaqstan» published an article by FPRI expert Nurzhan Omirbek titled «A New Stage of Regional Dialogue». The article examines the outcomes of the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, held in Avaza and discusses the significance of expanding this format to deepen regional cooperation. Particular attention is given to prospects for developing trade and economic ties, transport and logistics infrastructure, industrial cooperation and investment engagement - including the strengthening of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route. The importance of moving from political agreements to the implementation of concrete joint projects aimed at strengthening economic connectivity among the six countries and enhancing their role in the Eurasian region is emphasized.
