On May 25, 2021, an online seminar "Success Story. 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Statehood and Challenges for Future Relations between Kazakhstan and Poland" was organized jointly by the Warsaw M. Boym Institute and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Poland. The Foreign Policy Research Institute under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan was represented by Chairman of the Board Bolat Nurgaliyev and Head of the "International Organizations and Integration Associations" Department Madina Jarbussynova. The Kazakh and Polish representatives exchanged views on the factors influencing the development of economic and political reforms in Kazakhstan.
In his statement B. Nurgaliyev presented an analysis of the 30-year experience of the RK foreign policy activies emphasizing adaptation to the transformation of the international situation, as well as explaining factors that ensure the leading role of Kazakhstan in Central Asia.
M. Jarbussynova focused her presentation on the prospects of Kazakh-Polish cooperation in priority areas through the prism of the implementation of the EU Strategy for Central Asia and the Agreement on Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation
The Polish participants of the webinar, including President of Poland in 1995-2005 Aleksander Kwaśniewski, head of the Group on Turkey, the Caucasus and Central Asia of the Analytical Center for Eastern Studies Krzysztof Strachota, head of the Department of Eastern Studies at the University of Warsaw Andrzej Wierzbicki, and other analysts, drew attention to the positive experience of socio-economic and political modernization of our country.
