On December 2, 2021, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the FPRI Manarbek Kabaziev and the FPRI expert Mukhtar Zhakenov took part in a «round table» dedicated to the «Сurrent state and prospects of the Kazakh-Uzbek strategic partnership». The organizers were the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the International Institute of Central Asia.
In his speech, M. Kabaziev noted that the deepening of strategic partnership and the strengthening of good-neighborly relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have a positive effect on sustainable development of entire Central Asia. Bilateral contacts between the countries have significantly intensified in the spheres of industry, business, energy, transport, as well as the space and tourism industries (text of the speech is attached).
The event was attended by representatives of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the International Center for Geopolitical Forecasting "East-West". The Uzbek side was represented by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan, the International Institute of Central Asia, the Center for Economic Research and Reforms under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
