On April 18, 2022, a meeting was held at the Foreign PolicyResearch Institute with the head of the Center of Scientific and Analytical Information of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences N.D. Plotnikov and asenior expert of this Center M.A. Ushanov.

The event, organized by FPRI jointly with the Kazakhstan-Afghan Development and Partnership Association, was attended by representatives of Kazakh analytical structures based in Nur-Sultan.

The Russian experts shared their assessments of actual problems of international and regional security, in particular in relation to the situation in and around Afghanistan, as well as a number of other countries in South-West and South Asia and the Middle East. It was agreed to hold such meetings on a regular basis.
