On October 15, 2022, during the state visit of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Kazakhstan a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Foreign Policy Research Institute under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Center for Strategic Studies of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. 

From the Kazakh side, the Memorandum was signed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the RK - Minister of Foreign Affairs Mukhtar Tleuberdi. From the Turkmen side, by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - the Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov.

This Memorandum envisages further development of cooperation, mutual exchange of information, development of specific projects, research programs and other activities.
