On January 25, 2023, in Astana, senior expert of the Foreign Policy Research Institute Kairat Nurtazin took part in a round table on the topic: «New Uzbekistan – Fair Kazakhstan: prospects for bilateral cooperation» which was held in the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan.

The event was also attended by representatives of foreign ministries and analytical centers of both countries, namely the KAZISS, the Kazakhstan Center for Applied Research «TALAP», the Uzbek International Institute of Central Asia. 

The participants of the round table exchanged assessments of the progress of reform processes in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, their role in implementation of the Treaty on Allied Relations between two countries, signed during the state visit of President K.K.Tokayev (December 21-22, 2022, Tashkent).
