On February 20, 2023, the Chinese Documentary Film Festival «One Belt - One Road» started. It is organized by the China Media Corporation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China. Оpening ceremony was held in an online format. It was attended by more than 50 politicians, media representatives and other guests from more than 40 countries.

The FPRI Chairman of the Board, former Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Bolat Nurgaliyev pointed out the «One Belt - One Road» initiative as an important direction in building a new type of international relations and noted it’s focus on  future. He expressed confidence that all participants will make an constructive contribution to strengthening mutual understanding and friendship between nations.

The launch ceremony of the festival was also attended by Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang, Minister of Culture and Tourism Hu Heping, Head of the Media Corporation of China Shen Haixiong and others.
