Participation in the Xth Global Baku Forum

On March 8-12, 2023, Chairman of the FPRI Board Bolat Nurgaliyev took part in the Xth Global Baku Forum «The World of Today: Challenges and Hopes», organized under the patronage of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev by one of the leading non–governmental organizations of Azerbaijan - the Nizami Ganjavi International Center. 

The Center brings together former heads of state and government, as well as authoritative international experts who gather annually at the Forum in the Azerbaijani capital to discuss ways to solve the most pressing global problems. Since 2013, the Global Baku Forum (GBF) has become one of the most popular events in the South Caucasus, Central and South Asia, Europe and the Middle East. During 12 plenary sessions at the Xth GBF, participants shared assessments of the situation and recommendations on issues such as globalization, overcoming differences in the positions of main centers of power, role and prospects of the North Atlantic Alliance, climate change, promoting food and nuclear security, rethinking multilateralism, updating global health architecture, migration, China's role in global development and security, challenges in the field of democracy and human rights, the Middle East settlement, scientific and technological revolution and others. 

Bolat Nurgaliyev made a presentation at the panel session «The Role of New Energy and Transport Corridors in the Eurasian Space»  (the text is attached).
During his stay in Baku, the Chairman of the FPRI Board held meetings with the head of the Center for the Study of the South Caucasus Farhat Mamedov, Director and Deputy Director of the Topchubashov Center Rusif Huseynov and Murad Muradov, Director of the Center for Analysis of International Relations Farid Shafiev. Agreement has been reached on continuing contacts and mutual participation in international events held by the FPRI and the Azerbaijani centers.
