On March 17-20, 2023, Chairman of the FPRI Board Bolat Nurgaliyev held meetings with international observers from different countries who arrived in Kazakhstan to observe the elections of deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament.
Among them are Jerzy Oledzky, member of the Scientific Council of the M. Boim Institute for Asian and Global Studies (Poland), Director of the Caucasus History Center Rizvan Huseynov (Azerbaijan), Deputy Director of the Association for Eurasian Studies of the Mediterranean (SeSEM) Stefano Vernole (Italy), members of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, deputies of the Romanian Parliament Dan Barna, Neculai Dunava, Florin-Alexandru Alexe, Member of the Board of the Austrian Institute for European Policy and Security Martin Sajdik. The Romanian parliamentarians were accompanied by the Romanian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Madalina Lupu.
Bolat Nurgaliyev informed the interlocutors about implementation of political and economic reforms initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
An exchange of views was held on impact of the parliamentary elections on positioning of Kazakhstan among the world community, as well as prospects for development of relations between our country and Poland, Azerbaijan, Romania, Italy and Austria. Specific agreements have been reached on involvement of the Foreign Policy Research Institute in the events held by bodies represented by the foreign guests.
