On August 24, 2023, Chairman of the FPRI Board Bolat Nurgaliyev took part in an online format in the Expert discussion on the topic «Addressing the Legacy of Nuclear Testing: Lessons Learned and Future Prospects», organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Switzerland and the Swiss Peace Research Institute.

The event was timed to coincide with the International Day of Action against Nuclear Tests and dedicated to Kazakhstan's initiatives in the field of nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation. The Forum participants shared their assessments of current problems of nuclear disarmament.
