On December 20, 2023, Chairman of the FPRI Board Bolat Nurgaliyev took part in an expert discussion in the framework of the International Conference «Policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards Asia and Neighboring Countries» organized by the Center for Strategic Studies at the Office of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the problems of the Middle East settlement in the context of aggravation of the regional situation due to Israel’s armed conflict with the Palestinian Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip.

The Kazakh expert expressed assessments of the conflict, prospects for completion of its acute phase and his own vision of likely scenarios of mediation role of intermediary countries and regional centers of power.
