On January 30, 2025, Chairman of the FPRI Board Bolat Nurgaliyev met with the Head of Political Department of the Embassy of Japan in Astana, Eita Koichi, on the initiative of the Japanese side. 
B.Nurgaliyev introduced the interlocutor with main directions of the Institute's activities, and also explained key points in implementation of Kazakhstan's foreign policy strategy. 
The parties discussed the issues of potential interaction of the Institute with Japanese «think tanks» specializing in international policy research and prospects for organizing and holding joint events.
