On June 2, 2025, Chairman of the FPRI Board Bolat Nurgaliyev met a delegation of the Institute of Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences headed by Deputy Director of the Institute Jin Zhe.
The parties discussed and exchanged views on a wide range of issues, including the situation in the Central Asian region, as well as topical issues of global security and stability. 
B.Nurgaliyev, in particular, noted that in the context of geopolitical turbulence, interaction in the SCO and Central Asia – China formats is becoming particularly important, representing promising models of multilateral cooperation, as well as platforms for close partnership based on mutual support, equality, joint development and coordination of actions of the participating countries to jointly meet common challenges.
