On June 12, 2025 Chairman of the FPRI Board Bolat Nurgaliyev gave an interview to the Chinese English-language publication «Huanqiu Shibao» (Global Times) on issues of political, trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and China, as well as the countries of Central Asia. 
In light of the upcoming visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Kazakhstan on June 16-17, 2025, which will include the Second «Central Asia – China» Summit with the participation of the heads of states of the region, in his interview B.Nurgaliyev highlighted the issues of further deepening the Kazakh-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership, as well as promoting cooperation with the countries of Central Asia.
Dynamic and qualitative development of the Chinese economy, its role in global processes, taking into account the slowdown in the global economy, was highly appreciated, and the role of Kazakhstan in the implementation of the Chinese strategic initiative «One Belt, One Road» was noted. High quality of cooperation between Kazakhstan and China in ensuring regional security and sustainable development was also highlighted.
