On October 31, 2025, Chairman of the FPRI Board Bolat Nurgaliyev held a meeting with the Head of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) Office in Beijing Li Zhiyong and his colleagues.
B. Nurgaliyev presented the main areas of the Institute’s activities. In turn, Li Zhiyong shared information on the work of the UNITAR Office in Beijing and its plans to establish a Central Asia Representative Office in Almaty.
The participants exchanged views on current global and regional challenges, including climate change, security, sustainable development and environmental issues.
The parties agreed to further develop cooperation and maintain regular contacts between the two institutions.
