On November 5, 2025, Deputy Chairman of the FPRI Board Manarbek Kabaziyev held a meeting with a delegation from the National Institute of International Strategy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), led by Head of the Department of Great Power Relations Studies Dr. Zhong Feiteng. 
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on current issues of Kazakhstan–China cooperation in the political, economic, and humanitarian spheres, as well as within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the C5+ format, and the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative.
An agreement was reached to continue further cooperation between the two institutes.
