Participation in the Forum of experts from Central Asia and Germany

On April 16-17, 2026 the FPRI senior expert Valery Sitenko participated in the International Expert Forum on «Central Asia and Germany: Transforming Cooperation in a Changing World» at the invitation of the Uzbek side, organized in Khiva by the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the Friedrich Ebert and Konrad Adenauer Foundations.
The event was attended by representatives of leading scientific, expert and Analytical сenters of five Central Asian republics and Germany, who discussed the state of bilateral political, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation within the framework of current C+5 format, and gave specific suggestions and recommendations for its further development. 
During his participation in the Forum, V.Sitenko moderated the Second session of the Forum on economic cooperation and made a presentation at the Third session (Aspects of Cultural and Humanitarian Partnership), he focused on the state and potential of cooperation in the field of bilateral educational programs.  
Following the event, the participants made a number of specific proposals and recommendations for further development of cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and Germany, stressed importance of deepening regional cooperation in Central Asia, as well as continuing the Expert Dialogue between the Analytical centers of Central Asia and Germany.
