On June 18, 2026 in Astana, the FPRI expert Yerzhan Kalekenov took part in a round table on bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Malaysia. The event was organized by the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KazISS) in cooperation with the Institute of Strategic and International Studies of Malaysia (ISIS).
 During the discussion, the KazISS and the ISIS experts focused on identifying opportunities, expectations and practical recommendations that can contribute to shaping a promising agenda for cooperation between the two countries.
