Manarbek Kabaziyev: Digital Logistics Turns Geography into a Strategic Advantage

The article featured expert commentary by Deputy Chairman of the FPRI Board Manarbek Kabaziyev, focusing on current trends in the development of transport and logistics cooperation between the two countries.
Commenting on the initiatives announced by the Head of State, Manarbek Kabaziyev noted that Kazakhstan and Russia are entering a new stage of cooperation, where competitiveness depends not only on the development of transport infrastructure but also on its comprehensive digital transformation. According to him, digital technologies make it possible to turn the advantageous geographic position of the two countries into a tangible economic advantage by improving the efficiency of international transportation, reducing logistics costs and accelerating cross-border trade.
The expert emphasized that digital logistics is becoming a key element in shaping a modern Eurasian transport architecture. In this regard, projects aimed at creating digital transport corridors, introducing intelligent freight management systems, applying artificial intelligence for transport forecasting, and expanding the use of autonomous transport technologies are gaining particular importance. In       M. Kabaziyev’s view, such solutions can significantly enhance the efficiency of international transport routes and strengthen Kazakhstan’s position as one of Eurasia’s leading transit hubs.
M. Kabaziyev also noted that the development of digital integration between Kazakhstan’s and Russia’s transport and logistics systems will contribute to further growth in bilateral trade, expansion of transit flows and strengthening of economic connectivity across Eurasia. According to his assessment, it is the combination of modern infrastructure, digital platforms, and innovative technologies that will determine the competitiveness of international transport corridors in the coming years.
