On September 1, 2026 International publication «The Astana Times» published an article dedicated to the creation of a new format for the Security Council Apparatus of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The article features a commentary by Deputy Chairman of the FPRI Board Manarbek Kabaziyev who noted that strengthening of the Apparatus should be viewed as a further improvement of strategic management system in the field of national security.
According to the expert, amidst the increasing complexity of geopolitical, economic, informational, and technological challenges, transitioning from reacting to already emerged threats to their early detection and preventive mitigation is of particular importance. In this regard, development of analytical potential, interagency coordination, and use of modern strategic forecasting tools are important.

The effective functioning of the updated Apparatus can also strengthen Kazakhstan's international reputation as a predictable and resilient state capable of efficiently responding to contemporary challenges while maintaining openness and adherence to international law.
