On October 28, 2026 expert of the Foreign Policy Research Institute Almat Toyekin participated online in a round table dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, making a presentation: «35 years of Independence of Kazakhstan: from statehood to strategic partnership with China»
The event, organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Shanghai, was attended by representatives of the KazISS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, kazakh diplomats, as well as doctoral and undergraduate students studying in China. The Chinese side was represented by the leadership of the Institute of International Studies of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, the Center for Russian Studies of the Shanghai Academy of International Studies, the Center for Russian and Central Asian Studies of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, The Center for the Study of Kazakhstan at Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, the Center for Kazakhstan Studies of the East China Pedagogical University, as well as the Center for the Study of Kazakhstan at Shanghai University of Foreign Languages.
