On September 28 of this year the webinar "New Silk Road Forum V" was held at the site of the Swiss chamber of commerce "Joint Chambers of commerce "Switzerland - CIS" with the support of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Switzerland. The main topic of the webinar was "COVID 19 and China's BRI - Impact on links in Energy, Infrastructure & Trade through Central Asia and South Caucasus to Europe".
The several experts dealing with Central Asian and CIS countries in Switzerland took the participation: Senior researcher at the Higher Polytechnic Federal School in Zurich Benno ZOG, Regional director of the company "Militzer & Munch Holding" Nikolaus Kohler, General Director of the Association for business cooperation between Europe and Uzbekistan Oybek Shaikov, Managing Director of the Swiss chamber of commerce Dorin Sallis. Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Policy Research Institute of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Bolat Nurgaliyev has represented Kazakh side at the webinar. He had been speaking about the important role of Kazakhstan in the implementation of the BRI, as well as that Nurly Zhol will be provided with stable projects related to the new economic policy, despite the pandemic (full speech is applied).
