On April 19 of 2021, the third meeting of the Working Group (WG) on the Chairmanship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Bureau of the Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes was held. The meeting was attended by more than 20 experts, including the representative of the Foreign Policy Research Institute under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RK M.Zhakenov.

The meeting was held in the form of a video conference chaired by the head of the WG, Vice-Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan S. Kozhaniyazov. The issues of the thirty-second meeting of the Bureau of the Water Convention were discussed, as well as a draft Work Program of the International Water Assessment Center for 2022-2024, which will be submitted for approval to the ninth session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Convention, scheduled to be held on October 1, 2021.
