On August 19, 2021, an International round table dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site was held in an online format. The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Singapore. 

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bangladesh-Chief Researcher of the Institute of South Asian Studies Iftekhar Ahmed Choudhary, Ambassador of Costa Rica to the Republic of Singapore Victor Rojas, Ambassador of Singapore to the Republic of Kazakhstan Zulkifli Baharudin and Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Singapore Arken Arystanov presented their assessments of the role of Kazakhstan in the global process of reduction of nuclear weapons threats .

Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Foreign Policy Studies Bolat Nurgaliyev took part in this event and made a report (the text of the speech is attached).
