On October 22, 2021, the Head of the FPRI Department of international organizations and integration associations Madina Jarbussynova took part in an online meeting of the Consultative and Advisory Body "Dialogue Platform on Human Dimension" under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In her speech, Madina Jarbussynova noted the results achieved in the field of promoting gender equality and women empowering. At the same time, she expressed concern about the persistent facts of discrimination and violence against women and girls, existing infringements in the field of economic rights and their underrepresentation at the decision-making level that still does not correspond to the opportunities of women. In this context, a number of amendments to the Concept of Family and Gender Policy were proposed in the light of the instructions of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, announced on September 1 this year in the Address to the People of Kazakhstan, "The unity of the people and systemic reforms are a solid foundation for the prosperity of the country."
The participants of the dialogue expressed hope for strategic partnership in this area between designated state structures and non-governmental organizations.
