On May 26, 2022, in Nur-Sultan, in the premises of the National Academic Library, a “round table” was organized by the Embassy of Hungary in Kazakhstan and the for Foreign Policy Research Institute on the topic: “The experience of regional cooperation of the Visegrad Group: lessons for Central Asia”. In 2021-2022, Hungary presides in the regional association, which, in addition to it, also includes Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Chairman of the Board of the FPRI Bolat Nurgaliyev took part in the event and made a presentation on the specifics of regional integration in Central Asia and Kazakhstan's approaches to building relations with the European Union (text of the report is attached).
Roman Vasilenko, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Otto Ivan Rona, Ambassador of Hungary to Kazakhstan, addressed the participants of the meeting with welcoming speeches. Professor of A.Baitursynov Kostanay State University Anna Borisova, experts of the Institute of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Laszlo Vasa and Peter Stepper offered their presentations on the subject of the "round table".
