On June 18, 2024 experts of the Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI) - Deputy Chairman of the Board Amangeldy Tazhenov, Head of the Analysis and Forecasting Group Amir Bashbayev and senior expert Kairat Nurtazin met with representatives of the International Institute of Central Asia (IICA) and the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies (ISIS) under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan lead by the Head of the IICA department Turdikul Butayarov.
The parties exchanged their views on a wide range of issues affecting vital interests of Central Asia in current geopolitical conditions, as well as prospects for cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in bilateral and regional formats. The parties stressed that political dialogue and processes of interstate rapprochement in the region are extremely positive, open and constructive.
It was agreed to develop and expand bilateral cooperation between FPRI and IICA, including through mutual exchange of information and organization of joint events.
