Meeting with newly appointed Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Kazakhstan

On January 9, 2025, Chairman of the FPRI Board Bolat Nurgaliyev and his Deputy Amangeldy Tazhenov had a meeting with newly appointed Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Kazakhstan Han Chunlin.
Ambassador Han Chunlin told about current tasks of the Chinese diplomacy, assessed the state of international and regional security, and the prospects for diverse cooperation between China and Kazakhstan in a bilateral format and within the framework of integration associations, including the SCO.
For their part, Bolat Nurgaliyev and his colleague spoke about practical activities of the Foreign Policy Research Institute, one of the main missions of which is to study issues of promoting strategic interaction with China.
Kazakhstani experts noted important role of the Belt and Road megaproject in the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan and positive assessment of the Chinese concept of building a community of shared destiny of humankind.
There was an exchange of views on a wide range of issues, including situation in geopolitical environment of Kazakhstan and China as well as perspectives of settlement of crises situations in different parts of the world.
An agreement was reached on the interaction with the PRC Embassy in Astana in the process of the FPRI's cooperation with the Chinese analytical centers engaged in foreign policy research.
